A passion is a healthy addiction. It is something one would turn to for leisure, in times of distress and most importantly, to search the meaning of one’s life. It adds zest to your life and energizes you. It makes you want to live every minute of your life. I have one word to describe my passion. Psychology. That single word has driven me for the past six years and is still driving me to go beyond my capacity.
Extremely interested in Developmental Psychology and Clinical psychology and a constant topper in the subject, I aspire to become a professor of these subjects in Stanford University, California.
Absorbed by the vastness of the subject, I am keen on research and development and I am currently working on developing new concepts in Learning and Brain studies.
Writing has always been a part of my life since I was 10 years old. Poetry and essays have been my favorite media for expressing my thoughts.
I created and maintain two blogs: Purple oysters and Skinner Box.
I have also expanded my horizon to include Origami, Playback Theatre and adventure spots. I have had the honor of being a recipient of the International Award for Young People, an initiative by the Duke of Edinburgh.
I have been privileged to teach blind children of a non-governmental organization and I find the experience immensely rewarding. I was ranked as the third best all rounder in Bishop Cottons Girls High School and I am currently doing my undergraduate course in Psychology, English Literature and Media Studies in Christ University, India.
Psychology has always been defined as a Science and an Art but for me it is a way of life.
I am entirely driven by my zest for life and passion for psychology and writing.
